Symbolism
Ultramarine blue is the primary color traditionally associated with U.S. Army Aviation units. The winged eagle's claw alludes to the unit's mission and capabilities. The colors white and black represent twenty-four hour service, flexibility and responsiveness. The crest is that of the Kansas Army National Guard.
Background
The coat of arms was approved effective 1 October 1987 for the 108th Aviation Regiment. It was amended to delete the Army National Guard crests for Oregon and Arizona on 8 January 2008.
