Army Safety Excellence Streamer
The Army Safety Excellence Streamer is an official U.S. Army organizational safety award recognizing units that demonstrate outstanding achievement in accident prevention, risk management, and maintaining a strong culture of safety.
The streamer is awarded to eligible Army organizations that meet established safety performance requirements. Qualifying organizations must complete 12 consecutive months without experiencing a Soldier or unit at-fault Class A or Class B mishap. Depending on the level of the organization, additional requirements may include completion of required Risk Management (RM) training and the Army Readiness Assessment Program (ARAP).
The Army Safety Excellence Streamer is green with two white stripes and features the inscription “SAFETY EXCELLENCE” embroidered in white.
Unlike permanent campaign and unit award streamers, the Army Safety Excellence Streamer may be displayed by the qualifying organization for one year. At the end of that period, the organization must requalify under Army eligibility requirements to continue displaying the streamer.
The streamer is designed for display on authorized U.S. Army organizational colors and guidons, providing a visible symbol of the organization's commitment to protecting Soldiers, maintaining readiness, managing risk, and achieving excellence in Army safety standards.
