Army Armed Forces Expeditionary Streamer
The Army Armed Forces Expeditionary Streamer represents U.S. Army participation in designated military expeditions and operations for which campaign participation credit has been authorized.
The Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal was established by Executive Order 10977 on December 4, 1961, to recognize members of the United States Armed Forces who participated in designated military operations and expeditionary missions beginning on or after July 1, 1958.
The Armed Forces Expeditionary Streamer is light blue with a narrow Blue, White, and Red stripe in the center. Each edge features narrow stripes of Green, Yellow, Red, and Black. The Red, White, and Blue represent the United States, while the light blue symbolizes water and overseas service. The additional colors represent the various regions of the world where U.S. Armed Forces may be called upon to serve.
The authorized campaign inscription is embroidered in White.
