Army World War II Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign Streamer
The Army World War II Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign Streamer represents U.S. Army campaign participation and distinguished service throughout the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II.
U.S. Army forces served across an enormous area of operations that included the Philippine Islands, China, Burma, India, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, the Central and Western Pacific, and the Japanese home islands. These campaigns played a critical role in the Allied advance across the Pacific and the eventual defeat of Japan.
The World War II Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Streamer is Yellow with a narrow Blue, White, and Red center stripe and narrow White, Red, and White stripe groupings on each side.
Yellow represents Asia. The Red and White stripes represent the colors of Japan, while the central Blue, White, and Red stripes are derived from the American Defense Service Medal and represent the continuation of the defense of the United States following the attack on Pearl Harbor.
The authorized campaign inscription is embroidered in Blue.
